Job Title: Gym Class Instructor & Wellness Facility Coordinator

  • Location: Dublin City Centre (candidate must be based in or near Dublin city centre)
  • Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours per week to begin)
  • Salary: €20 - €25 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a professional, motivated and organised Gym Class Instructor & Wellness Facility Coordinator to manage the daily operations of our on-site Wellness Centre and be the main point of contact for members. They will be responsible for daily operations, facility management, member engagement, admin and delivery of group fitness classes (HIIT, Functional Fitness or similar).

They will ensure the gym runs smoothly, safely and with a high level of member engagement, while supporting our broader wellness and wellbeing programmes. They will also work closely with the wider Strive team, external therapy/physio partners, and client stakeholders, ensuring all activity is delivered to a high standard, documented, and reported.

Highly organised and hands-on, they lead with confidence, energy and enthusiasm, with a strong commitment to maintaining high operational standards and exceptional service for members.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility & Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the Wellness Centre, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
  • Manage class schedules, bookings, attendance tracking, and facility usage reporting.
  • Conduct member inductions, safety briefings, and ensure facility rules are communicated and adhered to.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and coordinate repairs/replacements as required.
  • Liaise with external partners (e.g., physiotherapy providers) to coordinate shared space usage and alignment of services.

Member Experience & Engagement

  • Act as the welcoming, visible point of contact for all Wellness Centre users.
  • Promote classes, services, wellbeing activities and events to encourage participation and community building.
  • Track attendance and engagement, monitor trends, gather feedback, and report relevant insights to Strive management.
  • Support a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages member retention and satisfaction.

Class Delivery

  • Deliver a portion of the class schedule, including strength & conditioning, HIIT, functional fitness, or similar.
  • Maintain high standards of coaching delivery, safety, and member experience.
  • Support other instructors in maintaining consistency of quality and standards across sessions.

Programme Coordination & Reporting

  • Assist in planning and delivering wellness initiatives such as quarterly programmes, wellness campaigns, corporate wellness days and special events.
  • Support Strive HQ with scheduling, promotion and programme coordination.
  • Prepare regular reports on attendance, engagement, class popularity and KPIs for management and client reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognised fitness instructor or personal trainer qualification.
  • Experience working in a gym, studio, or wellness facility, ideally with operational or administrative responsibilities.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Friendly, approachable manner - good with people; confident leading classes and liaising with members, partners, and clients.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to self-manage.
  • Flexible availability (some early mornings or evenings may be required).
  • Based in or near Dublin city centre (commutable to site)
